This
unique singer/songwriter has an easy style of singing which
reflects the artists who
have influenced her since she learnt to play the guitar at
12 years old: namely Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Sandy Denny and
others.
She has previously appeared solo at the Club
and at the first Banbury Folk ‘n’ Good Music Day in Y2000.
She proved so popular that she was invited
to play with her own band at the following year’s festival !
We look forward
to her return to the club.
Unfortunately, this will be her
farewell concert at the club as she is emigrating in 2008.
The night will be dedicated to Len Pounder,
a great fan of hers, who used to come to see her at the club
all the way
from the outskirts of Birmingham by train with his bicycle.
Tragically,
he was knocked off his bike and killed near his home. |
