The Stout Shifters

This local group just keep growing from strength to strength.

The Stout Shifters are Raf Oya (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Carole Sutherland (piano accordian, keyboard, vocals) and Helen Davis (fiddle).

Between them they have years of experience with such bands as St Kevin & the Fallen Women, The Hookey Band, WYSIWYG, and Caraf.

Their particular mix of instruments and special musical arrangements bring energy and individuality to everything they play.

And what they play ranges from traditional Irish jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas, to well-known and well-loved Irish songs, to traditional and modern-day folk songs, to popular songs from the 70s and 80s from artists such as The Rolling Stones, Squeeze, and Paul Weller.

And all served up with that special Stout Shifters flavour.

Come along and enjoy a fantastic evening of good popular well presented music.

Should whet your appetite!
