After
leaving school, he started a folk group (folk because they
would not need to
buy amplifiers!) and this group, Silver Myter, played at many
folk clubs and concerts, and appeared at the Bromyard Folk Festival.
As the lead singer and one of the most creative
members, he composed songs and tunes about local characters
such as Lady Godiva and
Guy of Warwick.
The melodeon took over from the guitar as
his number one instrument and he is now a member of the Aardvark
ceilidh band.
As a performer Pete seems to adapt to any
club audience and presents a suitable and enjoyable mixture
of material,
from Noel Coward’s ‘Bad Times Just Around The Corner’,
to Ledbelly's 'Alberta' on guitar.
A great all round entertainer. |
