Mundy - Turner are an original acoustic music
duet formed in Australia in 1995.
Cath Mundy, from Brisbane,
plays lyrical violin and piano in a cross between classical,
folk and blues to rock styles.
Jay Turner originally from
the UK and now an adopted Aussie, is a versatile acoustic
guitarist, alternately delicate and driving.
Both have singing
voices
that can "veer from the soaringly passionate to the tender
and subtle" (The Living Tradition, UK).
Their songwriting
partnership has produced work of breathtaking power and
beauty.
Their exuberant live performances feature
intricate harmonies,
humorous story-telling, powerful arrangements and a
deep commitment to social justice and human rights.
They performed
at the Cropredy
Festival in 2002 and they led the Fairport Convention
tour in 2004.
This is an
evening of soaring harmonies, soulful stories and sensorial
