Fat Freddy's Cat was formed in January 2001 and has played at many venues in and around Milton Keynes including: The Stables, Cannon Live, Courtyard and Roots@Zaks. The band features a melodic blend of instruments and voices performing contemporary songs and original material with influences from TexMex, Bluegrass and Country.

Fola are Andy & Kate, who are based in the marvellous Black Country to the west of Birmingham. Playing mainly original songs, mixed with some Irish traditional tunes and the odd folk song, Fola's strength is in their engaging live performance - as we found out when they appeared at one of our Open Stage nights earlier this year.

They are three young musicians from a variety of different musical backgrounds, and their sound reflects this diversity; ranging as it does from traditional Irish tunes to original songs, via American spirituals, Renaissance dance tunes and English folk songs.

He went down a storm at the 2004 Banbury Canalside Folk Festival and we are delighted to invite him to the club.
