Isambarde

Isambarde

This unique band was formed in April 2002. They are three young musicians from a variety of different musical backgrounds, and their sound reflects this diversity; ranging as it does from traditional Irish tunes to original songs, via American spirituals, Renaissance dance tunes and English folk songs.

All of this comes together to create exuberant and energetic live performances, which regularly leave audiences clamoring for more!

The line up consists of Emily Sanders – fiddle, viola & vocals, Jude Rees – oboe, whistle, recorder, flute, djembe and vocals and Chris Green (Band of Rack and Ruin) on guitar and vocals.

Isambarde’s music is a powerful blend of traditional and contemporary folk songs, taking the English tradition forward into the 21st century.
