Familiar faces to the music-loving ranks of raffle-reminders
who frequent the Ride-A-Cock Horse Folk Club, the duo is augmented
by Anne Bowden on flute, complimenting the skilfully blended
voices and guitars of the two JWs, with the odd splash of mandolin
and harmonica for good measure.
Their repertoire is mainly contemporary, featuring songs penned
by artists such as Richard Thompson, Jim Croce, Ralph McTell
and Michael Chapman.
They also include a few traditional songs but they relish
resonant musical tales of broken hearts, dreams, promises and
noses, whatever their provenance.
