A
presentation of songs and slides entitled "How are you
off for coals?"
It
is a celebration of the culture and traditions of the people
ofwho lived and worked in the Durham
and Northumberland coal mining communities, using songs
and stories enhanced by slides from the "People, Past and
Present" archive at Easington and the North of England
Open Air Museum at Beamish.
Bob
and Benny are well respected and seasoned performers from
the North-East of England who took to folk music early in
their lives.
Both
are fine singers and have recorded all of the songs used
in the show on a CD available from shops,
at performances and by mail order.
Bob
has previously supported Fairport Convention and appeared
at the club and Banbury's
Folk'n'Good Music Day. Benny is well known for his work
with Jeff Dennison in "Their Coming Back To The Water".
