Bob Fox

Bob’s musical career started in the folk clubs of his native north east.

He became resident singer at the celebrated Davylamp Folk Club and later toured as a duo with fiddler Tom McConville.

Bob next met up with Stu Luckley and performed at many festivals including Cambridge.

Having played support spots with artists such as Richard Thompson and Ralph McTell throughout a long solo career, he has also supported Fairport Convention on their Y2k national tour and at Cropredy festival.

He was also nominated as Folk singer of the year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.

He has always impressed the audience on his previous appearances at our club and festival.

His appearance in “How are you off for coals” with Benny Graham at the club, and “Their Coming Back to the Water” at the 2004 Banbury Canalside Folk Festival, sold out of tickets!

It is strongly recommended that you purchase tickets in advance or arrive early for this one to avoid disappointment.
