The
Ride a Cock Horse Folk Club celebrated it's seventh birthday
this year.
During this time it has attracted many artists from all over
the UK and beyond, celebrating the folk and acoustic music
traditions in its friendly atmosphere.
Derek and Mary Droscher, the club's organisers have
well and truly placed Banbury on the folk music map, adding
to the region's folk - rock musical heritage.
The Ride a Cock Horse Folk Club encourages and nurtures new
talent with its regular Open Stage evenings.
Beyond the folk club Derek and Mary organise the Banbury Canalside
Folk Festival. The festival, takes place in October, is now
in its third year and is becoming more and more popular each
year.
